So far, based off of all the reading I did regarding getting a sim card for your unlocked phone is not the way to do it in Belize. Also, apparently the roaming charges appear to be ridiculous, some have claimed to pay $250USD for 1GB of data... I say throw your phone in airplane mode, go to the nearest cell phone store and for about $50USD buy a temporary cell phone with a number during your visit. However, some people did manage to get a sim with a monthly plan for their unlocked phones within 10 min. So it seems to be a hit and miss...

Belize in particular has lower Hostel rating.
This is a tough 1, not many choices in Belize, closest one is not even a hostel, but its cheap and a place to stay. I will still list a few options.
If anyone has any other locations to add, especially in Belmopan, please contact me.
